Why hair falls
Losing 50–100 hairs a day is normal. Noticeable thinning, a widening parting, a receding hairline or hair coming out in clumps is not. Common causes include genetic pattern hair loss, stress or illness (telogen effluvium), thyroid problems, iron and vitamin deficiencies, PCOS and other hormonal changes, scalp conditions and harsh hair practices.
Many of these can look similar, which is why we diagnose before we treat. Your assessment includes a detailed history, scalp examination and, where needed, blood tests.
Treatment may include medical therapy, scalp care, nutrition correction and regenerative therapies such as GFC and PRP — tailored to the cause and stage of your hair loss.

DermatologistHair loss FAQs
What is the most common cause of hair loss?
Genetic pattern hair loss is the most common, but deficiencies, thyroid issues, hormonal changes and stress-related shedding are also very common — and often treatable once identified.
Is hair loss reversible?
Many types of hair loss can be slowed or reversed, especially when treated early. Long-standing loss where follicles are no longer active is harder to restore.
Do I need blood tests for hair fall?
Often, yes. Tests help identify deficiencies or hormonal and thyroid problems that can cause or worsen hair loss.
When will I see results?
Hair grows slowly, so most people see reduced shedding in a few weeks and visible improvement in density after three to six months.
Do you treat hair loss in women?
Yes. Female hair loss often has hormonal, nutritional or stress-related causes, and we tailor treatment accordingly.
